Research On the Influencing Factors Of “The Belt and Road” Project Evaluation - An Empirical Analysis Based on A Fixed Effects Regression Model

This article employs a fixed effects regression model, utilizing "the Belt and Road" projects from 2020 to 2025, to analyze different evaluation results for China and the United States and identify the main factors influencing project evaluations in both countries. According to the statistical results, country fixed effects are the key variables. Factors such as geopolitical relations, industry selection, investor differences, project scale, and time jointly influence the evaluation of "the Belt and Road" projects. Among them, geopolitical relations are the main explanatory variables affecting the evaluation of "the Belt and Road" projects. Industry selection affects project evaluation to some extent, but it is not the main determining factor. Differences among investors are not significant, and the influence of institutional brands is relatively limited. Project scale and time have a positive impact on project evaluation to some extent. The conclusion can serve as an important reference for precise policy implementation in "the Belt and Road" initiatives, possessing both theoretical value and practical significance.
